It’s called linked accounts, and as a bonus, my Monzo balance shows the current balance, whereas the Monzo widget shows the balance three days ago.
I use the Santander version - I notice Halifax offer it as well but haven’t tried it.
Natwest do this, but the differenciator is that Monzo shows both Monzo and Natwest accounts in my trends (via plus) but Natwest only show Natwest on the trend line
NatWest also allow you to link different accounts from other banks in. It’s on the same page as the NatWest accounts just under them.
I guess it ultimatly depends on whether you feel it’s value to you. I, personally, still don’t quite think it is, plus is “just about” worth the payments for me. Some comparison below (based on experience);
Here’s a list that might help folk decide:
Other accounts in Monzo
Interest on balance and regular pots
Custom categories
Holographic Card
Virtual Cards
Advanced roundups
Cashback on international transfers
Credit tracker
Offers
auto export transactions
1 free cash deposit per month
Fee Free withdrawals abroad
Fee Free allowances
The Nationwide paid for account offers this and more, and it’s cheaper.
Santander open banking doesn’t pull transactions past December for my Monzo account, though does update the balance
Good discussion points from across the space. Thanks and I’m still of the opinion after some of the thoughts here that this isn’t good enough to bother with as a service for me.
The card is nice, always a topic of discussion firstly opening by “why is your bank card white?” … it’s also metal
Travel insurance is good for me as it comes with car hire excess up to £3k in the UK and it pays off otherwise it’s £10+ per day of hire.
Phone insurance as I couldn’t afford another iPhone pro max 12 outright.
Custom categories works out for me
Virtual cards to pots
The offers don’t really bother me, but those above have become really handy all in the same place.
whilst i do like the look of the white
the rest of premium isnt much use to me , i wont get the travel insurance due to existing health conditions
my partner insures the mobiles as the account is in their name
the lounge thing would be handy for trips , but often there are discounts on line by booking directly
the account though is ideal for me
i suppose its down to how you would use the benefits and if 15 quid a month fits in your budget
I think you’ve nailed it right there @dannymidd - Plus is great, but the gap to premium is possibly only useful if you really want the card and insurance’s (the latter is overpriced IMHO)

It’s pretty rare I care let alone use a bank card so that a wash for many of us.
The only time I’ve ever used my physical card in the last 2-3 years has been at an ATM, how does it fair in one of those? My Monzo Plus card came out scratched AF on the first use.
I generally use the card, if not mobile/watch when I don’t have it with me which is rare.
Or he’s @Remi in disguise
To add, I rarely take out cash and not had any issues or scratches or damages either.
yeah i think plus is great also
So I finally plunged for premium. While I still think that it could do more to differentiate between plus and premium (2pc interest, additional offers) I’ll give it a go for a few months and see if I find the mobile/travel insurance valuable.
The card is mega, I really like the look, quality and feel of it. Though I think I do have an issue, since I’ve collected cards and can’t bring myself to get rid of them.
What would be great is if the mobile insurance could be extended to family members phones too, ala HSBC Select and Cover.
