will Monzo look to incorporate new security features such as face recognition into its app?

I think it needs to be confirmed as actual iOS 11 functionality before banks can start implementing it.
Personally I feel more comfortable with fingerprint than facial recognition. The latter feels more invasive 
I’m fairly sure it’s going to be the same API as Touch ID so it might just work out of the box (ignoring incorrect text in the app). 
Disclaimer: We have no idea. Everything is speculation until confirmed by Apple. We’ll get back to this after developer documentation is released following the event.

I was going to say the same (it may just work) but didnt want to yet assume it’s a ‘thing’ 
Though from the HomePod firmware it’s got a strong case
