Is it just me or do Monzo need to update the app for a dark mode app icon in IOS 18. It’s the outlier on my Home Screen!

I don’t understand. It’s dark already no?
I think the answer we’re really looking for is Apple applied dark mode icons which is slightly different.
Ah yes, the normal icon is already quite dark, but I’m using the plus icon which is a bright blue.

Custom app icons don’t seem to work with this new dark icon feature. My Revolut and Trainline icons don’t change at all, either.
Can anyone show me what the normal Monzo app icon looks like with the dark setting?
There’s nothing to show. It looks exactly the same as the normal icon.
31 of my apps were updated to support the new icon feature yesterday (on top of the dozens that were done by launch day). Monzo wasn’t one of em and it sticks out like a sore thumb even more now.

I maybe wouldn’t go that far! Just hope they get round to updating it soon!
I mean there has been months for developers to change this simple thing.
But mind you - it has been 18 months since the Wise rebrand and the powered by Wise in international transfers STILL uses the old logo.
I would also like this feature!

So now they’ve added a new icon (which also doesn’t change to dark mode), and still haven’t fixed the old icons!

They never will. With some exceptions once Monzo releases something that’s its final form.
To be fair, the 2 legacy banks I have accounts with (Lloyds & Barclays) both have support for dark icons already

That Starling Bank logo looks so good. It would be cool if Monzo did an all dark logo, with the “M” in their hot coral colour. That would look incredible.
