With all due respect I think this is a bit of a copout. Why aren’t all cards embossed then? There are other ways to go around these issues. Add a notch to the card, for example

I always thought the Mail didn’t arrive til gone midday?
If it ever arrived before this I’d have thought rolled back to 1996.

In most places I’ve lived I’ve always received it between very early morning and 11am-ish… how far away from civilisation are you? 
Mine arrives anytime before 1-2pm really. My package that’s been shipped (24 hour delivery time) on Monday hasn’t arrived yet though

Same for me, completely random. Sometimes at 10, sometimes at 2
I got a bright pink card in the end (well, I fell for the temptation )
Perhaps self predicted though, I told my wife and she said "wait, you ordered a bank card just because it was a bright colour, what are you, 12? "
