Introducing Monzo Flex – a better way to pay later 🚀

Depends on RM. Could be tomorrow, could be next Thursday.

Not sure if this is the correct place.

Category in Flex for Entertainment is Purple.

Category in Main account is Turquoise or whatever (receiving funds)

Is it meant to be two different colours per account?

If I go to categorise either, they both correlate to the same colours.

Both also align in Trends to Entertainment.

I think the colours moved from purple to turquoise (maybe) when they did the recent brand refresh in app. Looks like they’ve forgotten it in part of the app!

I thought I was going mad until someone else sent me money towards it and it clicked.

@TheoGibson

Is there any possibility please of being able to add receipts to Flex purchases?

Thankyou

Does anybody know if you can use Flex at car dealerships for servicing/MOT, etc.?

I did last week for a larger bill than I ever wanted :frowning:

I did last month, softened the blow!

Thanks - mine will probably be more than I expected :grimacing:

Same. Turns out that at 60k miles pretty much everything on my car gets replaced in an almost Trigger’s Broom scenario.

I used it at an independent service centre for my MOT this week. Was expecting to pass with flying colours and just have a £40 MOT fee to pay… ended up with a bill for over £900 for four new tyres :grimacing:

Yay for Flex, but… what kind of tyres cost over £200 each? :face_with_peeking_eye:

More cars than you would think :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

I had two new rear Run Flats a couple of months back and it was over £200 for each of those :slightly_frowning_face:

But to be fair it’s the only thing other than servicing that I’ve had to change on the car since new and it’s 4 year old now

This was the cheap option! I’ve got a BMW Z4, and it was going to cost over £1000 for 4x Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres, which is what the car came with. Going for Goodyear Eagle F1s brought the price down to just over £800.

I too have just paid £250 for a tyre after getting a puncture

Need a new tyre and possibly wheel after hitting a kerb hard last week - it was that or have my front right side caved in by someone coming around a blind bend on the wrong side of the road. Tyre well over £200. New wheel, dread to think. Car has only done 1800 miles :worried: front and rear cameras belatedly fitted yesterday.

It’s the size that makes the biggest difference in cost.

Im looking at getting a new car soon and they all come with large wheels now

Christ. I had to pay for two tyres a couple months ago costing £180. Thought I was stung haha.

Geez! Must be some big cars. I got a couple of Bridgestones for £160 for my Civic last month. I thought that was ok for a good brand, I would go up to £100+ for a very good brand/quality tyre, but those numbers you guys are quoting are obscene :face_with_peeking_eye:
