Introducing Extra, Perks and Max

Im on the legacy plus. Yes I use pots and I have used Flex in the past

I can see a tiny upgrade button at the top of the app and lower down the home tab is a section for pensions and cashback.

All the above is easily ignored :man_shrugging:

I suspect this is why you don’t see pots appearing when you don’t have any, and not more upgrade ads.

I think you can ignore easily because you’re not the target market for these things, but for those who are it’s a wildly inappropriate form of advertising.

You cannot just ignore a fake account created on your banking app.

Gotcha.

So this is affecting people who use Monzo as a bit of a spending account only?

I never said it was? You’ve taken what I’ve said out of context

Well not necessarily. You can have everything go through Monzo and just not have pots and have a savings pot pop up.

I suspect it was the “All easily ignored ” that gives the impression that people complaining could just ignore it. Just because it’s not affecting you doesn’t mean it’s not affecting everyone else. I suspect.

Full Monzo - personal account on Extra with salary paid in, joint account heavily used to organise all joint finances and savings, Flex, (also Business paid plan), standard pots, instant access savings pots, third party savings pots and ISA.

And getting intrusive ads to upgrade, invest and (yesterday) refer friends.

Woah. I guess I’m just lucky then or maybe it’s coming soon :ghost:

Maybe A/B testing?

Was considering Perks early next year for the railcard. With that and a few sausage rolls I’d probably save a few quid.

But it looks like you can only buy from trainline, and the railcards can’t be moved to the official railcard app.

The trainline app is not coming near my phone, so no dice.

You can buy tickets anywhere. You would just show the railcard in Trainline if asked during a ticket inspection.

I buy my tickets in the EMR app, and use the railcard app for the card. Trainline is not coming near my phone even for railcard use.

This seems more like a projectfortytwo problem than a Trainline problem.

Whatever suits you!

Out of interest is it a performance thing or something more? I use it a lot for when I need to go to London Town and find it very, very decent. Especially at Euston to avoid the wacky races.

Awful app (on the occasions I used it, which admittedly is a while ago), booking fees (f right off), and when things went wrong awful customer service that left me out of pocket.

The proposed end of franchises might mean I one day have to use it, but for the moment I’ll avoid it.

Fair enough. Not to derail inadvertently but have to say the opposite for me. My only gripe is even with background app refresh turned off if still hammers the battery.

In the one instance where Avanti cancelled I was automatically told how to submit a refund for the full amount.

Back to topic the Trainline thing isn’t very useful (to me) so another reason why the perks don’t work (to me)

Nope. Not everyone lives in a town or city

Basically if you don’t live in one of those the new perks are not for you.

The nearest Greggs is about 20-25 minutes away depending on which direction I go

EDIT: By the way, the main reason I don’t is because the paid for travel insurance is lacklustre compared to other paid offerings, and more importantly far worse than the free one Premier offers.

Oh yeah sure, an ad hominem attack (which is against the guidelines by the way) is jokes.

You really didn’t need to put the second line In.
