Why did this get flagged?
It was just a qr code yeah
Are many having issues with the cards?
After being disappointed with the general quality on receiving it it now seems to be destroying itself.
the new Max card looks like it’s about 2 years old after being in my wallet for a week. I’ve probably taken it out and used it perhaps 10 times as I was on holiday last week and thought it might be easier than Google Pay in some places. It’s not totally gone but it really does look awful.
Letters in my name and some of the numbers are clearly starting to rub off and I doubt they’ll be there in a few weeks.
Alongside my Nationwide card which is now 4 years old, and my Amex which is 3 years old and both still look absolutely brand new I can’t quite understand why the only card I actively pay for as a benefit is the one that looks like it was made on the tightest budget?
Some pretty poor ones due to my hamfisted attempt at covering up my personal data, a bit hard to show the eroding letters.
It’s genuinely been in my wallet and used for a week on a trip to Portugal. Apart from that I use Google Pay.
It looks like it’s been around the block a few times
Your wallet made of grit?
It’d make sense if it was wouldn’t it.
It’s a pretty soft leather wallet and none of the other cards in there look like that.
Curious about mine. Has been about my pockets out of wallet so may explain some of the abuse, but that’s less than a handful of times.
See, wasn’t just my manky wallet was it
Nice cheap lino
You’re all doing it wrong.
Get the card, shrink wrap and mount in your card collection.
Use apple/google/curve pay.
Summary
Seriously why doesn’t it suprise me Monzo are having card quality issues…again. Surely by now they should’ve found a more reliable supplier. Also don’t remember the previous plus cards having this issue.
Does anybody know what I can do about this ghost loan showing as defaulted on my Monzo credit tracker? I’ve never had an account with the company
And I can’t get it to show up on CreditKarma or TotallyMoney, I have a great credit score on every other app and high limit credit cards in good standing, but can’t be considered for Flex presumably because of this
I can’t dispute it with monzo and I can’t get it to show up on any other transunion credit tracker
Monzo Credit Tracker: (TransUnion)
CreditKarma: (TransUnion)
Lloyds Credit Score: (TransUnion)
I’ve currently got the old Monzo Plus, I am thinking about upgrading the Max only because it works out better than getting an RAC cover separately for my car. Mine is a fully electric car and i’ve had it just a week. Does anyone else know if the RAC cover that Monzo provides works for electric cars too? The rough RAC cost for a year was going to be £280 so thought the Max might be a better option
Thank you for this. I just put it through ChatGPT and these are the main points for electric cars if anyone else was wondering
Key Features and Conditions Specific to Electric Vehicles:
- Running Out of Charge:
• If you run out of fuel or charge, the RAC will either:
• Bring enough fuel to get you to the nearest fuel station (you will need to pay for the fuel).
• Send a mobile EV charging vehicle to give you enough charge to get to the nearest charge point.
• Tow you to the nearest fuel station or charge point . - Breakdown Service Coverage:
• The breakdown cover applies to electric vehicles with the same conditions as other vehicles regarding weight, length, and width restrictions. The vehicle must be less than 3.5 tonnes, 5.5 meters long, and 2.55 meters wide. In Europe, vehicles must also be under 3 meters high . - Specialist Resources:
• The policy does not cover the cost of specialist resources needed to make repairs or recovery, such as special lifting equipment. This might be relevant if your electric vehicle requires special tools or services not usually carried by RAC patrols . - Roadworthiness:
• Your vehicle must be roadworthy, with valid tax, insurance, and MOT. If your vehicle lacks these, the RAC will not attend to your breakdown, which applies to both the UK and Europe . - European Cover:
• For European travel, the same terms apply, with additional provisions for getting your vehicle home or arranging alternative transport if the vehicle cannot be repaired before your planned return. The policy has a limit of £2,500 per claim, and you can make up to 2 claims in each 12-month period . - Reimbursement:
• If you need to pay for services upfront, such as misfuel services or other repairs, you can claim reimbursement, but only if the costs were pre-approved by the RAC .
Hi Jon, if you can DM me your Monzo email address and you’re happy for the team to take a look at your account, we can see if we can spot anything funky. Could be a niche bug!
Hi thanks for the reply, I’ve nearly got it figured out
The account belongs to a family member with a similar name as me. I don’t share an address with them now, but I did for a period while I had my monzo account. When I signed up for the credit tracker apps, since I had 3 years of new address history I didn’t provide that one - that I assume Monzo is…
So TransUnion are going to move the account to the correct file, is what they said to me on the phone today
Is anyone else still having issues with their Equifax report not showing?
ClearScore uses Equifax and I don’t have issues with that but Monzo is still unable to locate the file
That’s great. We are working on adding disputing directly into the product in the coming months, which should make this easier in future!
We’re still aware and still working on improving our address matching logic here, it just might take some time. Bear with us!
Thanks for the update @EdSB
