Hello,
I’m fairly new to the community but am loving Monzo so far!
Hi I’m Warden. You can call me Wade. I’ve been using Monzo since Summer last year but I’m new to the community. Just recently graduated from university studying Business and Finance, and looking to get into financial planning.
I thoroughly enjoy sports, eating and traveling.
Feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn http://LinkedIn.com/in/wardenkmn/
Thank you
Welcome
Hi Lancelot! You must be busy this week what with E3 and all and being a brand ambassador for Sony PlayStation!
Nice to e-meet you!
Continuing the discussion from Introduce yourself :
Hello everyone!
I enjoy reading , playing video games
, watching (and attempting) to play footie
and I will happily admit that at 25 years old, I love dinosaurs
just as much as I did when I was a kid!
Hi Monzo Community, I’m pleased to have joined you and look forward to experiencing a stronger banking for the future.
Can I ask as I’m new to this, my daughter is renting a house whilst at Uni with 2 friends, can they set up a 3 person bank account with Monzo to pay all their bills etc??? You’re guidance would be much appreciated.
Regards
Jaqui
Hello jaqui
No. When joint accounts are introduced it will be for 2 people and even then you would want to be careful about who you are financially linked to (as you could affect your credit rating in the future)
Joint pots are being developed but that’s not until later this year. That could be helpful as they can all put money into a pot and pay it out from there. That is if they are all have a Monzo bank account.
Either designate 1 person to pay the bills and transfer the money to them, or share bills around equally so they all start building a credit record.
Hey Rich,
It was indeed a busy time for PlayStation I wasn’t at E3 as I’m part of the UK team but some of my fellow colleagues were there if you got to see any of it I hope you enjoyed it the next few months are going to be pricey and fun haha
Nice to meet you too.
Hi everybody! I am Martin, I am fan of soccer (Chelsea forever), an artist-amateur. I am not fascinated by my job 'cause I work as a freelance writer at samedaypapers and I thought it would be more creatively
I saw the fan of Lancelot from Merlin here, I am a fan too, but Arthur is cooler! And Morgana is a most attractive woman I ever saw
What more? I love Tarantino’s movies, tasty food and travelling
Now I travel only at USA, I hope i’ll visit Europe this summer))
Welcome aboard Martin, pleasure to have you here and we will all be looking forward to hearing from you more
I’m Lidia Herrero from Argentina. I’ve been an agent for English studies abroad, most frequently in UK and then US, for over 20 years now.
I need a bank account, a traditional one or the new digital version like yours, to have my commission deposited in UK, and make use of the funds from different countries in the world.
Would that be possible with Monzo?
If you’ve got an UK address it should be fine!
I’m not a resident in UK. I may have one to start the account. In fact I’ll be living in a private flat in July for a couple of weeks. Would that do?
That should work, you’d be a “resident” if you stayed for a few weeks.
Not that you have much to lose anyway, so once you’re there just open an account and see what happens - make sure to fill out your tax residency properly just so there aren’t any surprises.
I can try…
I’m Andy. Tax inspector from Liverpool. Fully switched to Monzo last month from First Direct. Loving the app and the service.
And making a note of anyone on the community who should be completing a FACTA declaration
I belly laughed reading that!
We have a spy…
