Long time lurker and been hiding the shadows for a while. But here now!

I’m Bao (Not my real name, but the name I prefer). I’m a Server Technician for a large glass company. I’m love tech, games and travelling.

One of my favourite hobbies is Train and Plane Spotting. Love to travel all over the world exploring and also just having a good time.

I’m not the best financial person in the world but I try to keep my head above the water each month (doesn’t always happen). My main banks are Halifax, Chase UK & Monzo. But am always looking for suggestions for some Cashback or Rewards. Love me some free money :money_mouth_face:.

Hi, I’ve been with Monzo for a few years and have a Flex account with a few savings pots. Why did I have to find out on Threads about the new 1p Challenge?
I also didn’t know about this forum until this morning.
Have you considered sending your customers emails about what’s going on?

I’ve no idea. There is an advert at the top of the homepage in the app for me.

Yeah. I only found it when they sent me an email telling me that my terms and conditions were changing and that forum members had voted on the change.

Monzo do send emails about things from time to time, but not everything. That would be excessive!

@Revels style is curt and to the point, I find.

I also find that it’s best from my perspective to not read tone into text - you never know what’s going on the other side of the keyboard.

It’s still there on mine. Maybe you dismissed it some time ago?

My apologies, that was not my intention at all.

Monzo do email about new features, Flex for example got a launch. But this I would say is more of a niche feature, so probably not something they are going to email everyone about.

Yes, I do - both. I have a Flex account.

No. I would have been very interested in it. Never mind - I’m doing it now and will look out for it next year too.

You can still join. It’s there in the app somewhere, Savings perhaps? Can’t remember now exactly but it’s discussed in the relevant topic.
