Income categories showing up against spending

Hi, there is a quirk where using monzo.me would solve this issue for you for now. Please add your voice to the bug listed below if you agree that all transfers should offset categories.

This has been raised a few times, the payment from your girlfriend will offset the spending summary if you request the money on monzo.me and assign the incoming transaction to the same category as the outgoing transaction.
