Include other bank spending in budgeting tool

I’ve recently got Monzo Premium, mostly for the travel & phone insurance, but I like the other features too. Was excited to try out the feature where you can see your transactions from other banks within Monzo, as I do most of my spending on my Amex. However I was disappointed when I realized that I couldn’t include Amex transactions in the budgeting feature. This would be the absolute dream if I could genuinely see & plan all my spending from one place in Monzo. Since Monzo can read those transactions, surely it’s possible to tag them up and include them in budgets as well?

They can, and in time I expect they will. If you search the forum you can probably vote for it somewhere.

Linked account categorisation

Having upgraded to Monzo Plus to get linked accounts I have now linked my Amex (and soon to include Barclays) which is really great. It would be even better if I could use the same categories set up for my main Monzo accounts to tag the transactions in these linked accounts. And cherry on top would be to incorporate that spending by category in my monthly spend reports
