You can now add your debit card to Apple Pay.
And they have not yet made noise about it like they have done with the Visa Click pay
They force enabled notifications again. I can’t disable them. My junk folder is full of login attempts.
Just came across this. Looks promising. Just applied and waiting for approval. Yes quite a lengthy application with many probing questions.
We’ll see.
How long on average do they take to approve?
iFast have a 1% cashback on sending money to EUR accounts (and some other Central Asian currencies), but not sure if it’s worth it with their higher fees compared to Wise or Revolut.
I just compared for £1,500 to euro and you’d get:
atlantic €1,724.36
wise €1,721.45
hsbc €1,715.91
ifast €1,709.41 + £15 cash back (worth €17.09 at their rate)
Technically ifast is the best deal with this promo after cashback but also not by much. Not worth going out of your way to use it imo.
Also, they need to choose a name that doesn’t sound like a knockoff phone accessory manufacturer.
From my calculations last summer, it’s the same with their rates for Euro purchases. They were slightly better than using e.g. Nationwide or Monzo, and that was only because of the then-offered 2% cashback on all purchases. Without it their rates are noticeably worse than the other providers.
Has anyone used the split withdrawal with iFast? I see if you try to withdraw a larger amount than £100 it retains a part, sends £100 for verification and then sends the remaining amout after?
I was going to withdraw £500 and it said it was going to split it. I reduced the amount to £100 and then it went through immediately.
Attempted to withdraw another £150 and it did not ask me the second time.. Is this just a security method to verify the bank you are withdrawing to is legit? (Barclays in this case).
Thanks
That’s handy. It automates what I do with a new payee (though it’s £1 first for me).
Just saw ifast is giving 1.5% back on card spend in Dec. Seems to apply everywhere, not just UK, nice timing
Never heard of these guys before.
Are they a new bank?
They’ve been around a long time, app is ok, 1.5% cash back for nada is a good deal.
Yeah sounds like a good deal. Only for 1 month though. So I’m gonna stick with Krak for now
New customers used to get a longer period, and then others like this keep popping up.
You do you.
Did they do a hard search on you in the end?
No, they only did a soft search.
Please do you recommend iFAST for usd savings accounts. They are offering 4%.
I haven’t used any of their savings products yet, can’t say much about them apart from seeing their rates change each time bank of England makes adjustments
