I’ve just had a recent transaction of my own blocked for a security check, resulting in a request to phone; having to phone the bank concerned in these situations is obviously a way to check that the customer isn’t being scammed but scammers can “coach” a customer through what to say so it is always difficult to spot what’s going on.
I equally am showing my age and remember Access, however, my much stronger recollection was of Barclaycard. It featured in Peter Sellars shirt pocket during a fabulous interview by Michael Parkinson in the 70’s and I thought I had to get one!
