How to get payment confirmation?

No agency needs it. None.

They just like to be difficult and, for example, some agencies will only let to people once they have confirmation that a standing order is set up, which is absolutely ridiculous as you can just cancel it a moment later.

It proves absolutely nothing. It’s so pointless that people ask for it.

I know but some do. I agree completely though.

In your experience. Others might find even when pushing they won’t back down.

They don’t need it, they just want it. It’s different.

I also need this and can’t understand when a need was identified 8 years ago why Monzo aren’t listening to customer? And to the few people who have replied to this thread just to say they don’t understand why its needed - the fact that some people have a need is justification enough for this very basic banking function. This is a function often needed when you just need to prove a payment was made but you weren’t provided with a receipt from the recipient. You need an official way to show the money left your account and where it went. This is basic banking. A screenshot is just not good enough. Can someone from Monzo respond please and explain why this isn’t available after years of people asking for it?

The few people wanting it is not enough. An easily edited receipt proves absolutely nothing.

If there was a genuine large demand for it then it would exist by now. See; cheque scanning.

Your best bet would be to open an account elsewhere if this is a needed feature. I agree that it’s one that has some importance, and the people who say “you don’t need this” clearly have never been in a situation where you actually do, granted it’s rare.

For the limited amount of people who will, and the fact cheque imaging took so long to come alive, I think it’s safe to say this won’t. At least for a long time.

Can we at least get the date when viewing a spesific payment not “today” then at least the screen shot option has some weight.

I’m new to this thread, but I’m honestly surprised this has been an ongoing issue for years without a response from Monzo. While I understand the argument that demand might seem low, it’s a feature I rely on frequently with other banks. The lack of support here has actually forced me to minimise my use of Monzo for manual payments.

They simply don’t care.

It won’t make them money, the end.

Barclays provide this. I did use it recently to confirm payment of tax to HMRC. However, I’ve never used it previously.

What do you want them to say? They’ll never ever say “barely anyone wants this, so we aren’t spending the time and effort to add it” at absolute best you’ll get “thank you for your suggestion. We’re always looking for ways to improve the app for our customers and I will pass the feedback on” = :wastebasket:
