How does a business add an emoticon for mobile notifications after a transaction?

Hi there I work for a boardgame cafe in Bournemouth and quite a few staff and customers have got Monzo cards (it was actually a customer who put me on to Monzo). When I spend money in, say, Tesco I get a notification banner on my iphone with an emoticon of (I think it’s an apple for Tesco or supermarkets in general). I was wondering if our boardgame cafe can request to have an emoticon because I think it’s a nice little touch when you spend money and see the icon come up. Thanks, Jon

I reckon that’ll be one for the Monzo team, but can i just say…

That sounds amazing!

There’s no formal way of doing this, I think the emoticons are all done by Monzo staff for fun rather than any official processes or anything. Would be cool if they could do this for businesses though! @cookywook @anon10040808 can you provide any official advice on this?

Thanks Nick. It’s a very nice place to work to be honest. Seems to attract nice people and it’s full of games.

Well the venue is called ‘Coffee & Dice’ so although not entirely original I was hoping for a coffee emoticon and a dice emoticon together

Come on down if you are in the area. We are in Pokesdown, Bournemouth on Christchurch Road. Open 10am to 11pm at weekends.
