personally would love prompts for spending/ saving eg “you’ve spent £120 at Topshop, you’re spending your shopping budget too quickly. Spend £50 over 15 days to stay within target” which is an extension of the existing notification message anyway.

I don’t find these factual notifications condescending in the least. Neither would I find “you’ve saved 50% of your holiday fund” patronising. It’s the “Great job!” that is so teeth-grindingly awful. “You got yourself to work on time! Great job! You brushed AND flossed! Great job!”
