Having a Monzo account abroad

You can top up your Monzo card from a Euro account but I wouldn’t recommend it, as your bank will charge you a conversion fee, to change the Euros into pounds.

International expansion is definitely in the plans though, Monzo are testing Euro accounts right now

Monzo are testing EUR accounts at the moment - but they’ve not announced when they’ll be ready yet. I’m pretty confident that it won’t be before the launch of the bank in the UK, as that’s taking up so much of the team’s time.
