Group think?

Monzo is okay in some ways, not so good in others. I wouldn’t say that it especially excels in anything, and as a loss-making start up, solvency is an issue. It obviously has a fan club here but but why exactly baffles me. I have had a Monzo card for 18 months and although it is handy for foreign trips I can’t see anything about it that would make me consider switching my current account to it.

I’m closing this now for the same reasons this thread was closed:

In general we have no problem with criticism and bad reviews of Monzo. What we don’t welcome are threads such as “Monzo sucks” or “Monzo is nothing special” as these threads offer nothing constructive and end up causing flame wars.

If you have specific criticisms of the product then please make a separate thread or contribute to one of the many existing feedback threads we have.
