The transactions auto-export feature is the singular reason I pay any money to monzo for a current account. It’s great in theory but is fundamentally broken since your pots transactions don’t export and are essentially invisible.
Chiming in with everyone else here, if you can’t get the basics right and seem to completely ignore the user feedback regarding fixing it, then am I just a mug for continuing to pay each month?
agree entirely and posting this for visibility, if nothing is done i’ll be cancelling my Monzo Plus subsription, it is pointless without accurate exports to google sheets.
I’d just cancel now if you feel that way about it. You can always restart it later.
FWIW it was a very small part of the reason I cancelled mine some years ago.
Yeah it’s not getting fixed. It’s abandoned at this point pretty much.
This topic is from 2021 and all they’ve done is made it worse. The interest you used to get on a Plus/Premium account would at least show, now it doesn’t appear at all.
It’s still my favourite feature but it comes with a large asterisk.
Currently the Google Sheet only appears records transactions which are done my the main cards. But with the virtual card features which are attached to pots, it would be good to have these also download to the Google Sheet function.
I download the sheet and use AI to create summaries so it would be good to have the entire picture. At the moment I have a number of virtual cards connected to pots which deal with different aspects of my spending
I’m really confused by this not being implemented yet, it’s really frustrating to not be able to more accurately track this stuff, especially when the virtual card and pot combo is such a potent budgeting tool.
This was really just a developer’s pet project from back when Monzo used to do those things. I don’t think there has been any meaningful work on this for years and wouldn’t be surprised to see it axed at some point.
Therein lies the problem. This is fine as a free feature, but charging people for it as part of a package and not maintaining it is criminal.
I stopped paying for the premium tiers and using the Sheets export a long time ago partially because of this.
