Goodbye Mondo, Hello M-- (we're changing our name!)

I do like the idea of this

+1. If ā€œMā€ can be trademarked I think it’s by far the strongest suggestion.

M can signify the ā€˜mobile first’ nature of the company but also sounds secretive like Ian Fleming’s character M from the James Bond series.

Hot coral + M = perfect combination!

I’m with you lol mordor!

I went with ā€˜Manumo,’ figured it was only appropriate given the way I feel about Barclays and HSBC atm

Manumo

Could ā€˜Mundo’ not do it… Same meaning link to world but not exact same name that’s been challenged?

µ would be an awesome name. I’m jealous I didn’t think of that.

Thanks Chris! I must admit I didn’t submit it officially but μ has grown on me (particularly in its minimal form as a symbol).

Also uppercase Mu = M which means the name is fully represented by the existing Mondo logo :mondo:.

Spot mondo doing their market research on OnePulse :joy: :mondo:

Moneta. It means coin in Italian, which is where ā€œMondoā€ also comes from, I’d assume.

A couple of days ago I submitted my idea which was:

Moneta - in Italian it means money and it comes from latin ā€˜Monere’ which means ā€˜to warn, to advice’ - basically what the app does!
Moneta was also the goddess of the temple where in ancient Rome the money were kept, basically the bank :stuck_out_tongue:

also Monytes could be used if Moneta can’t be used.

How about Moola/Moolah slanf term for money

Actually world in Spanish is Mundo.
I believe mondo might be Italian.

We did play with this internally, however it’s not quite as simple as a quick flip. W is drawn differently to an M and do not share the same form. It’s also the additional spikey tips of the W that put me off, I find it particularly uninviting! :open_mouth: (No offence W)

I think I managed to submit milo, nice and short, a type of drink long out of fashion - and a lovely name. I bank with Milo… it sounds good, and I think would work in many languages.
