I was just wondering whether mondo is still planning to rebrand. I remember reading you agreed to rebrand by July because of IP infringement.
Rebrand ??? Would be interesting to hear what the potential IP infringement was / is?
Only thing I’m aware of is this from last year?
When mondo raised funding on Crowdcube, buried in the legal explanatory notes was the following:
A third party has alleged that the Company’s UK trade mark “Mondo” infringes its EU trade mark. In settlement of this dispute, the Company has agreed to sell its UK trade mark to that party and to cease to use the “Mondo” brand by July 2016. The Company will therefore be required to re-brand within the near future.
I’m guessing that not many people actually read the full legal notes.
Well that is slightly concerning … So mondo will not be mondo ?
Interesting, I didn’t read the Crowdcube legal notes as I was not planning on investing but I’m glad somebody did! July is fast approaching so I guess we’ll hear something about this soon.
Anyone at mondo able to clarify for us ??? Ie name change etc etc and possible effects of such
Nothing to be concerned about, just the opposite! We’ll share more info about it
