Does your school have Parent Pay? If not might be worth raising it with them, as it’ll save them cash and no more dealing with cheques. Depends where you live but pretty much every school has enrolled around here.
I’d also recommend opening a Starling if you do frequent cash deposits, free at any post office and no silly limits like monzo.

Yep, my apologies if that wasn’t clear. We pay PayPoint to provide a service, and the £1 charge per cash deposit means that we break even on that cost.
