✅ Garmin Pay: I can now buy oat milk with my watch!

Thanks. I used to have Curve, I’ll try and apply again :slightly_smiling_face:

£5 delivery fee… Ugh :joy:

Do they do a virtual card? You won’t really need a real one with Garmin, will you?

I had to pick a plan during the flow sadly.

Also wondering when GarminPay is going to be released on Monzo. Garmin are including GarminPay on their lower-end devices now. It’s such a shame to have to carry £10-20 in my Starling account just to be able to buy water when I’m out on long runs.

I know only a small percentage of the Monzo user base would use this feature, however I feel it should be higher up the priority list since the lack of the feature is encouraging users to migrate and user other bank just to be able to use NFC functionality on their smart watches.

As you rightly say, it’s wanted by such a small %, it would be foolish to put time/money/resources into it.

They’re not migrating to another bank, they’re opening it to use as a “stepping stone”.

This is likely the only way you’ll ever get to use Monzo with Garmin Pay, because as you mentioned it makes no business sense to cater for such a small amount of people.

I’m a runner and I struggle to understand why so many people are against taking their card with them - I did 22 miles on Sunday with mine stuffed in my shorts and happily bought a flat white with it at the end (yeah, I know :man_shrugging:).

Given the amount of people I see struggling with watches and phones at TfL station gate lines in London, relying on a watch for payment doesn’t fill me with confidence.

If I was solely reliant on GarminPay I’d also be massively stressed about it running out of battery on long run days.

Meh, of all the coffees and you choose this :eyes: anyways that’s a different thread for discussion

Get a Curve account and connect your Monzo card to Curve.
Curve is compatible with Garmin Pay.

I knew this was coming… :grinning:

Only ever drink them after runs; it’s the combination of caffeine and dairy that hits the spot for me.

Anyway, back to the topic - peeps, just carry your card!

Totally off topic, as you ve mentioned dairy.

If they were oat milk flat whites it would be a different matter of course.

Another vote please

Probably just before those two. Afterall, it will be infinity before any of the three happen.

Now Samsung Pay is active, bring on Garmin Pay!:grin:
