✅ Garmin Pay: I can now buy oat milk with my watch!

Just to add something constructive. Discussion on Garmin pay is below and you can also vote for it there if you’d like to see it too:

I’d perhaps argue that it’s more likely Garmin will develop the ability for their watches to produce oat milk before Monzo support Garmin Pay.

Awesome will do that. Thanks for your help!

In answer to the title - right now! Just use your Apple Watch.

In answer to the rest of your post… MEH CLICKBAITY TITLE!!

In more seriousness, not sure what percentage of Monzo users have a Garmin Pay option, until it reaches a tipping point, don’t see it getting done (I’ve said that before mind you).

This is the beat solution for now, I’d say.

Although be aware that it will result in less-elegant merchant data in Monzo for the places you’ve paid with your watch.

That’s probably a small price to pay for the functionality, but it’s worth knowing about if it’s important to you.

Most creative topic title to asking for a new digital wallet implementation, I love it. :100:

What percentage of people wearing Garmin devices have the option is a better point.

Cool if you’re rocking a £600 Fenix, less for those wearing, one of the more popular Forerunners

Samsung Pay would even be a good effort, alas, I don’t really use my watch for anything more than the time or notifications.

I prefer using the physical card anyway most of the time, especially now with metal Monzo

The lower level devices are getting it too, the vivoactive 3 and venu devices for example. Forerunner 945 has it and presumably the others are just a refresh away.

I just look at Strava, which is a good proxy for those watches, and there are a lot of Forerunner 235s out there, and will that’s a very long tail who don’t have access.

Sadly, now this reply makes no sense

I hope it is soon

Damn, that was honestly too good of a title to merge the threads.

Got Garmin pay capable watch. Very nice!

Signed up for curve card without a referral :man_facepalming:
But it fails to add to Garmin Pay for some reason.

Transferred money to Starling and using it with Starling. Very slick!

Might try revolut too later.

What other things do you use the watch for? I could hook it up to Revolut

Tracking daily steps, hydration, tennis and running.

But this is an upgrade, previous watch didn’t have apps or GPS. So will be using this one more.

I.e. with Starbucks card loaded onto it too.

How much did you pay it?

If Garmin & curve support will fix things, I will be using Monzo via curve via Garmin pay.

Although info find Curve payments slow. I guess it is two authorizations, not one.

Monzo,

Seems many people are opening alternative bank accounts in favour of ones which offer Garmin Pay.

Why does Monzo, a fresh and agile tech company, not offer this support yet? If not, why not and is there any new on this?

Thank you,
Louis
