Is anyone able to help me change my forum username at all?

Just send a message to one of the Monzo staff and they’ll sort you out.

You should be able to do this by clicking on your profile picture and then the cog. There is then an option to edit your username 
Hey @anon41219820, unless I’m missing something, that allows you to change your name, but not your username.
Do you not see these screens? Very possible that this is different for mods

One thing that’s annoying about changing your username is that it appears to break any @mentions in posts

Nope, that’s why usernames become locked after a certain amount of time/number of posts. 
We’re happy to change usernames for any reasonable reason though.
Feel free to send a DM if you haven’t already done so
