Issue: I flexed a transaction when it was still pending (£53.21). It settled a few days later, but for £48.68, which is the correct amount.
My feed still shows £53.21, so I pressed the “Something wrong, Get help” which in one respect was pointless because none of the options were relevant, and so no help was available.
But.
At the top of that page the amount is showing as £48.68.
So I have a Schrödinger transaction which changes depending on which page I’m looking at, the wrong amount has been returned to my personal account, and I don’t actually have any idea how much will be flexed
You then flex £53 to flex which moves £53 to your bank account.
Morrisons updates the debit card to £48.
You pay ~£5 of the flex credit in your current account to repay the difference in Flex.
Or have I misunderstood something?

Morrisons updated the amount, but Monzo still shows £53 unless I “happen” to look at a statement which shows a refund.
Also, the total Flex amount for the month includes the £53, not the £48.
I’m sure that they are just showing incorrect amounts because it’s easier for them and that it’ll sort itself out, but I think it’s wrong to show the incorrect amounts.
It works by point in time for flex, so based on the initial transaction it is correct information, and flex is correct,
Anything that happens after that doesn’t impact the cash loan you took from flex, there’s nothing to correct.
Second presentments don’t usually notify you in any form.
If this happened directly on your flex card you’d see £53, £53 refund, £48 debit (or very similar) non of which will notify you a second time normally.

No, it’s £53 on the app.
There is a £5 refund on my account, but that isn’t visible unless I download a statement.
This is possibly why Monzo doesn’t provide a running balance in the app. It wouldn’t be accurate.

That’s the screen you see when you press the “Something wrong” button.
The account feed and Flex feed both show £53.

I’ve had a long discussion with support over this whole thing. The upshot is that “that’s just the way it is.”
But it would have been a bad idea (apparently) to make a partial payment to Flex because:
Important Note: If you manually make a partial payment toward a specific Flex installment, the system may categorize the remaining balance differently. In many cases, doing this removes the interest-free status of that specific plan.
To keep your 0% interest (if applicable) or your original promotional terms intact, the system generally preters that you let the scheduled payments collect automatically or pay the entire remaining balance at once, rather than chipping away at it with manual part-payments.
