The desperation to be liked in that email makes my brain hurt.

It is a bit ‘banging food’

I wonder what the average age of loyal FD customers is?

This email reminds me of when my parents tried to fit in and “be cool”

Hate. it.

At least they stopped with the skunk adverts (I think)

Eh I didn’t mind the skunk - Amusingly it reeked of someone in marketing being told, very slowly, down the phone what ‘TikTok’ was though by a Gen Z’er.

Funny. I increasingly see FD becoming akin to the large Nokia phones that are sold these days - less capable than others, but a combination of simpler and more familiar for those ‘of a certain age’. A far cry from the promise of not so long ago to be an incumbent challenger. A little like Bo / NatWest, it just can’t be done.

I bet it’s much higher than the average age of a Sugababes fan.

Well that all depends if their fans are around the same age as the girls themselves (40) or younger. If so then no not really, however if not yeah probably.

I’ve spent more time then I should have working this out.

What brothers me about First Direct is there is absolutely no time stamps on transactions when viewed in their app. So if you’re looking back at a transaction you then have to think back to was it in the morning, afternoon, evening or night that I went to Tesco?

I’m glad I am opted out of marketing for all places so my inbox isn’t filled with sh!te like this.

How many banks show the time? Lloyds, Halifax, TSB, and Nationwide don’t. Barclays does on the current account, but not for Barclaycard. If First Direct doesn’t, then I presume HSBC doesn’t either; I know they don’t on their credit card.

Now you have me doubting myself lol. I believe Smile did. Then again I might just be thinking of Curve. One or the other or possibly both. :grimacing:

The barclays time stamp is not accurate, as I think it takes the time and date it cleared. It only says in the reference the day the transaction took place.

NatWest doesn’t either.

Chase does.

Just realised I’ve had my 1st account for 44 days and not started the switch offer things yet - if I start the switch now will I still qualify for the bonus or does the switch have to have been completed within the 45 day window?

That I’m afraid. :backhand_index_pointing_up: Online and Personal Banking | first direct bank.
