I got mine from Etsy
You can get the surgical style ones, the blue folded paper (not medical grade, so you’re not depriving NHS stocks) fairly easily from all sorts of places that sell to offices. Viking Direct for example.
The one I use daily for grocery trips is actually from a fetish brand, ahem, but is generic looking enough not to look out of place in a shop. It looks like a bike mask (and I’ve used it successfully on a bike trip, though wouldn’t normally do it, the poplar trees around here were shedding like crazy and I could barely breathe with all of the stuff coming off them). Some of the brands listed in adult stores are very plain looking, i was going to get some to send to my mum as they have nice pink and purple coloured ones, i was just worried she might google the brand name.
Otherwise any bandana or scarf is fine to use. You’re just trying to stop the water droplets from spreading too far when you breathe and any barrier is better than none.
Boots are selling face masks, but it depends how much you are willing to pay

You can now get some from Amazon now too
Please let me know if they are any good, I’m tempted to buy a pack Of the Puma face masks with a football shirt
I wouldn’t buy face masks from Amazon. Too high a risk of getting a shitty knock-off. Either because the buy button is actually having you purchase from J Random Chinese seller, or because commingling means that your order from Legit Seller could see you getting a product that Dodgy Mofo supplied to Amazon, because Amazon have binned all the stock together.
Trusted PPE sell different grades of masks. Their civilian masks (blue folded, non-medical) are £19 for a sealed box of 50. They say they use “the only fully accredited manufacturer of PPE in China which holds the official Chinese Medical Device Declaration Certificate”.
I have a few buffs so been using those. Multiple uses. You can have it as a scarf, hat, face mask you name it. Super useful and washable they do a Marino wool one too which is naturally antibacterial, although it might be a bit warm for the summer months.
Covid isn’t a bacteria, though, so…
I seriously misread this title. Opened the thread set to give all manner of skincare product recommendations.
But this is better, thank you for staying safe!

I’ve been helping with a Shopify migration and I’m quite happy with these:
Those are from his RedBubble site (4 @ £8.11 each) but the main site is masato.co.uk where off cuts of material are being used to make 2ply face masks.
You’re quite right it’s a virus. But every little helps and all that. You may find (I haven’t looked or researched this so it’s a total guess) but viruses may not live as long on wool when compared to synthetics, but who knows. Either way, I would argue it’s better for the environment then the cheap throw away ones most people seem to be opting for.
I use my face scarf for working in a chilled warehouse at work
says face covering not just mask and it covers the mouth and nose along with not steaming up with glasses on.
I still look like a bank robber in it.
Umm… Not sure that’s a selling point at the moment
