I love the target feature in Monzo and I include my NatWest account into it as well.
The only problem I have is with pending transactions from NatWest. It can sometimes take long to move from pending and during this period, I can’t allocate a category to the transactions. This will make my target tracking inaccurate and I often then result to excluding NatWest again.
A way of excluding pending transactions from your target if you want would be helpful, or the ability to categorise them even if they are pending.
Pending Transactions have nothing to do in the Target screen breakdown.
I specifically include only 2 categories in Target and lumping Pending in there by default makes no sense.
Exclude Pending from Target breakdowns, always please.
Details to reproduce:
Set up Target with eg 2 categories.
Pending Transactions get lumped together as a 3rd category. No, no.
I have my Amex connected to Monzo and the transactions show up in trends. However, whenever there is a pending transaction in Amex, it reduces that from my monthly target by default until the transaction has cleared and Monzo can determine the category. This is really annoying when it is a category I’ve excluded from trends and makes it difficult to keep track of how much is left. I’d love to have the option to exclude pending transactions from trends to avoid this.
