Don't go, coral card! šŸ˜

Maybe keep the coral on front and back and have a red or navy blue edge  Don’t go Coral card!

That would work nicely for me. I love the Hot Coral.

Yeah that works nicely as a hot highlight IMO…

The coral, but with the same patterned texture added to it like in that gif would probably look pretty cool. I like that the card is totally different in colour to all other bank cards

Edge colours like the previously mentioned nationwide card can look excellent.

I really like the idea of personalised cards. I’d be willing to pay extra to customise the card as other vendors have done in the past.

Other vendors? Barclays and another firm which I have used have provided this option free, not at a cost.

Yeah I wasn’t very clear @anon44204028.
I’ve seen this in the past at no charge but I meant that I’m still willing to pay for a customisable card - I appreciate that it’s an option that will cost the supplier a little more money and as a bank that’s trying to keep running costs as low as possible and looking for revenue streams (however small?), I’m happy to pay for the privilege.

I would happily customize my card by uploading a Hot Coral background if Monzo are foolish enough to ditch their unique stand out card for a same as the rest dark blue or black

Well let’s be honest here those two card’s look fantastic, if the coral card can’t be continued into the future is it possible to have the front and back this navy blue but have the edging be hot coral? that way you still get to see it when it’s in your wallet or hand and for all us hot coral lovers it’ll have never really left.

You’ve got to keep hot coral, at least as a choice of colours. I think hot coral is a huge talking point, I get asked about it a lot, and therefore I’m spreading the Monzo word.

Be really different and limit people to 2 cards linked to the same account, give people the choice and it’s also a real USP.

That way you could keep hot coral for fun and weekends, and when on business etc (or as the mood takes you!), use a nice blue/black card, or whatever other colour choice there might be.

Couple that with no foreign loading on spending abroad, a £50 free overdraft and a hot coral debit card! Boom.

Where do I sign up?!!

I’d quite happily support that kind of subtle design reference to the original cards! Like @anon4562461 mentions

I wonder whether :mondo: are playing it cool with Coral over a concern that regular punters might misconstrue the colour for representing a company that’s not serious enough to be trusted with their money. I’d like to hope not, on both counts, but it would be an interesting thing to test with people who have no prior knowledge of :mondo:

Tom’s said pretty conclusively that Monzo will be keeping the coral card

Here for example

& more recently in person.

@alexs good to know! A few developments on the forum have passed me by, so I’m glad that you caught that

As @alexs points out, the above has been said.

Unless there’s any reason to suspect that @tom et al have changes their minds in the mean time, doesn’t this essentially resolve this thread?

There’s definitely nobody here playing it cool  Hot coral all the way!

I think it does - the answer is hot coral and thats great!

So is that the only card colour Monzo will offer or will there be a choice?

@patrice58 We’ll be sticking with coral cards only for the foreseeable :slightly_smiling_face::+1:

I’d like to think this thread can’t be particularly ā€˜resolved’ as it would be nice to continuously get the community’s opinion on the card colour as time goes on. New members should be able to voice their opinion too.
