That assumes they’re faking. We can’t know that they are, though you’re welcome to speculate.
I continue to just take these things at face value and assume they’re telling the truth. I can never know with any degree of certainty that they’re not, so a combative accusation in that respect seems a bit futile IMO.
I have the first (or would it be second?) hand experience at this point to trust that there is probably more truth than lie or embellishment to the common narrative that we see of Monzo closing accounts following complaints of alleged fraud.
I’d imagine Xcoins themselves would be automatically declining payments that aren’t supported by 3DS along with requiring KYC or atleast payment cards matching the billing address, as they are more likely to be targeted by bad actors otherwise, so I’m a little cautious to give you the benefit of the doubt
It’s not like we haven’t seen examples of extreme incompetence from the team that handles these claims in the past (like the example below) - so if you’re being honest then follow the other posters recommendations above on how to move your complaint forward
