Differentiating between personal and joint account notifications

Hi,

My partner and I have opened a joint account but when getting notified about spending there’s no difference in the app notification as to which account has been used. Would be helpful.

Surely you know if you’ve just spent on your card? Otherwise it’s your joint account

Mine does.

This is a more understandable argument, after you use your card you could act on the notification and add a note if you’re worried about forgetting it’s a joint account transaction.

But unless you happen to have used two cards at the exactly same time, ignore notifications or mindlessly tap digital cards then as Ordog has said it’s most likely the card you just used and you have a choice to then add a note to remind yourself for a later date

Same, although people think it’s weird that I do

Your phone should be on silent anyway.

You mean it’s not AI?

Wow didn’t expect this to take off that much. I only meant in when I’m quickly scanning my notifications, having something differentiated by the app icon would be handy in the same way the joint card is white and the personal card is coral. I guess it’s probably not done that way, thinking about it, because it’s the app symbol that pops up. If there was a way to have that change depending on what card was used, that would be great.

Getting back to the point I think Ordog makes a good point here but I understand where you’re coming from, I suppose if you used a joint and then didn’t clear notifications and then directly afterwards used a personal card your point could stand although you could always go in and add a note to help differentiate after the transaction notification comes through was my point

This is exactly what happens.

So does Monzo. My JA notifications says ‘Joint Account’ at the top.
