Unless it’s already in the app, but just hidden, with the feature being turned on remotely on an account basis.
I don’t think it is. Monzo engineer, Robin, was showing us his work on Pots at the Brighton presentation last week.
Definitely Android or Apple Pay then (could be both - they are based on the same tech, only that Apple has NDAs that would prevent Monzo from talking about it before it’s released)
When questions were asked bout Apple Pay, Monzo staff were silent. They’d give no hints either way, so that is a possibility.
Starling bank are also relasing a new feature tomorrow so they have to be linked(possibly) starling already has apple pay, not sure on Android pay, but my guess is android pay as one clue is a picture of monzo icon on an android phone!
Monzo-Starling merger
Monzling?
Starzo?
It’ll be interesting to see what unfolds tomorrow I’m certainly looking forward to Android Pay on Monzo though
Announcing a string Monzo high street branches
Loans (but you have to make an appointment with an advisor and fill in a paper form)
Counter services at 230 City Road
Cheque books for all
Charges for bouncing cheques/DD’s
Paying in books for all
Monzo+ premium - Access to pots, Apple Pay, Android Pay, CASS, Card freezing, Pin changes, physical debit cards, account details on debit card, Contactless transactions, targets, unlimited overseas ATM withdrawals, faster payments.
Amiright?

I’d expect it’ll be both. They can’t talk about Apple Pay due to the NDAs and they thought they might as well do them both together. They were testing Android Pay a couple of months back…
Voted Android but really hoping it’s both
Fingers crossed for Apple Pay and Android Pay. Would be a shame to launch one before the other though.
Well… All we know so far is it’s not Fitbit pay I’d love both Android & Apple! But I’d be more than happy with Android Pay for now
By virtue of the fact he said not everyone can get it, I worry that one camp will lose out. Unless he means not all phone models support it?
OR that it’s because not everyone is on CA yet.
I wish I could link my kerv ring to monzo, so much more convenient than a*pay but so unreliable and lacking in functionality in its current form
Lets all hope for the latter …
Or because iPhones wont get Android pay and vice versa?
Do you see what I seeeeeee
Some brilliant investigative work there @anon72173902
Where does that come from!? Apple Pay or Android Pay!?
It’s a screenshot (potentially edited) of this page https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT206637
