Out of curiosity, is there a website or recent report which shows the number of current account customers at each UK bank and/or the account opening and closing turnover at each bank?
Not really. Banks don’t really do open data or transparency 
That said, you can piece some of it together:
Current account market share
Current accounts per customer
FCA competition report
Stats on usage of the current account switch service
I’m sure there’s more. There might also be figures in each bank’s annual report and accounts.
Actually, @o99, if you don’t mind, @coral-crew, could we spin this off into its own thread / wiki so folk can add their own reference sources and we’ll be able to easily find it again?
