Creating Subscription

Hi. I’m new on here, so hope I’m in the right place. Please bear with me if not!

Have been with Monzo since June so getting very used to the App but one thing is now puzzling me. I had to send a payment to my local authority which I did successfully through the App but when I bring up the payment there is no option to create a repeating subscription as with some other payments.

Is that option only available for direct debits or when using my debit card?

If it’s done by faster payment/ transfer on the Monzo app then you need to set the payment up as recurring to make it a recurring payment. You can’t set up one off payments as recurring
