Coutts Chat

I have no interest in the card design.

I go for the service and the banking/borrowing facilities they offer both to private clients and commercial clients.

For me it’s having the named contact you I can call, email and I also meet in person.

You have a Wealth Manager assigned to you to handle your investment affairs too.

I have a current account with HSBC (Private Account) and a Lloyds (Private Account).

The Lloyds Private is a joint account.

Sole HSBC Private account.

Sole and joint Coutts accounts.

That’s it for current accounts.

Monzo and Starling, I’m not interested in as they have nothing to suit my needs and borrowing is very limited for my circumstances.

WOW!

You must love annual fees

I don’t pay much notice.

I’m more than happy to pay for a service if I see it has benefits. Which to me it does.

I guess I can only speak for myself.

My heart hurts when my Ulster Bank, AMEX & Lloyds Fees leave my account .

I pay like £13 a month for Ulster and Lloyds then like £180 or whatever the AMEX Gold card is at the moment and I dread those Fees leaving.

Would love to never think about the fees :sleepy:

My only credit card fees are for the Amex Platinum and Centurion.

Isn’t the centurion card like Ā£10K a year??

Nope that was the joining fee, annual fee is around £3000 a year.

My joining fee was slightly less given the year I joined.

That’s like my monthly salary for a fu***g credit card!!!

I certainly get my use and worth out of it.

The same with Coutts Silk, I use that in any establishment that does not take Amex.

Plus the Coutts debit card is fee free abroad.

I can only wish for those cards one day.

I can trade you a AMEX Gold for your Centurion. I have like 50K AMEX points take em take em!

We can only hope so.

I’ve got over 200K in points. I need to redeem them soon.

May transfer them over to Hilton.

I’ll just go and cry in the corner then!

200K ahah.

Nope. Why would I do that when I can use Coutts and get something back for it (Coutts Crowns).

Starling and Monzo are for people who don’t not mind fintech banks and who are happy to either do things themselves or speak through chat.

I prefer to call a person. Especially helpful when lending is concerned.
