Hey Everyone! :wave:

We wanted to invite you to a drop in session at the :monzo: office, to hang out with @naji and I.

Starting next week, we’ll have an hour slot, where you can pop in and hang out with us, we can use it as a mini workshop session for feedback, collaboration and sneak peeks. Once we’re at the new office (mid next month :crossed_fingers:) and have our Community Room set up, the logistics of this might change, to provide more flexibility.

The first session will be on:

Weds (22/3) from 12pm to 1pm :smiley:

If you’re interested, feel free to drop us a little message so we know to expect you - or just pop by and say hi :wave: We’ll be in the Board Room, so head over to the back entrance.

In the future, could you please arrange these sessions for different days of the week, for anyone who’s unable to make certain days?

Absolutely, we’ll change the slot every week to test what works. So next week, we’ll try a lunch break. The week after, we’ll try another day + time. :grin:

Where is your office? I’m in London on a course from the 28th - 30th, I wonder if I might be able to time things to pop in.

Hey Andy! Our office is in Old Street.

That week, we’ll probably test out a different time for the drop in session to see what works and what suits people. What time is your course?

It runs from 10am until 4:30pm on the 29th & 30th, but I’ll be arriving at Kings Cross and around 3pm on the 28th.

Google tells me the venue is about 15 minutes by tube from your offices.

I expect most people will be coming from their regular jobs so I obviously don’t expect you will necessarily be able to do a time which suits me. I just figure if you don’t ask, you don’t get.

It might be nice to have the occasional after-work ones if possible, but I do recognise this places quite a high burden on the people running it.

We’ll be testing different times each week (mornings, lunches, and evenings) so everyone gets a chance to pop in.

@andy1 Not sure yet what time we’ll keep the drop in hour that week yet, so stay tuned :slight_smile:

Our first session was a little quiet :sweat_smile:

We’ll still continue to have open drop in, so that you can come, we never expect it to get packed up. This week, we’ll be skipping it as we have the Open Office but the next two are on the community page: https://monzo.com/community/

We’re trying out different days + times to see what works.

Is it possible to get a calendar we can subscribe to so that they’re in my calendar without me having to check the page?

Just saw that these got added to the events calendar after your suggestion. :eyes:

Can’t find the public calendar link to subscribe to it but the output gets posted to #event-announcements in the Monzo API Developer’s Slack.

Hi all, just a quick heads up there will be no Community Drop In session this week as featured on the Community Page (we’ll be updating this shortly), as we’ll be moving office! Looking forward to hosting some great events in the new Community Room :tada:
