Colour blind - no difference red/green on target warnings

I’m colour blind, as are 4.8% of men, so can’t tell the difference between many reds and greens. The green and red warning note round dots that get added to categories look the same to me. Please can Monzo choose a different green!

…or a different red?

Maybe. From my experience changing the green is easier. I know this sounds odd, but I think there is more scope with greens.

Lots of board games use symbols to represent each colour, in addition to the colour itself. Do you think that would be helpful?

Thanks a lot @Damzini for reporting this  We pass all our designs by Color Oracle but there aren’t many silver bullets to this kind of questions :frowning:

To be honest, we still have a long way towards accessibility, we use very small fonts in some places and sometimes contrast is not good enough either. Good thing is that all this is on our list and we’ll sort it out at some point, I’m just sorry it’s going to take us a bit of time and polishing, please bear with us

How about using different shapes (circle, triangle, square) for the dots. Avoids having to account for all the different types of colour blindness people suffer from.
