Collected thoughts on card design (Part 1)

I also got one of these replacement cards last week

New card arrived. It’s alright, but can’t wait for the new design.

What’s the new design :eyes:

Is it still the case that you can upgrade an existing account to Premier without any checks? Considering doing it even if just for the card.

I don’t know. I applied from scratch and directly for the Premier account. Says you have 12 months to meet the criteria and then they will review the account.

Not even a credit check has come up, but I guess eventually it will.

Isn’t that just their credit card though?

When i first upgraded they upgraded the account but I didn’t get the black card. I had to call and go through a credit check to get that.

It’s the design that shows on their Premier current account page now. They call is " Exclusive black debit card" lol

I think the Premier Card is the (or one of the only) that still has embossed numbers. I like that to be fair.

My Indian debit card just arrived by post. :slightly_smiling_face:

The eagle logo isn’t used on Barclaycards, they have their own logo:

I don’t think we’ve seen a render of the new Wealth card yet. The present one is all black except a blue eagle.

No it’s on the “Premier Current Account” page on the Barclays website

How I get this?

Privy league?

“What about the privies?”

“Well, what we’re talking about in, erm, privy terms is the very latest in front-wall, fresh-air orifices, combined with a wide-capacity gutter installation below”

“You mean you crap out of the window!?”

“Yes!” #Blackadder

All the Barclays debit cards currently being issued are embossed (normal/blue, premier and wealth - not sure about business but I presume that one too).

Yes, business is also embossed. Don’t have it with me but it’s similar to the savings card design - lots of small eagle logos. Blue logos on a white background.

:joy: this logo is a super downgrade
