I wonder why they changed the notch? Doesn’t seem like that consequential of a change.
Because it’s the way that Mastercard does it with the new accessible cards for blind and partially sighted people.

It’s a MasterCard thing. They now have different shaped notches for different types of card.
Visa just stick with the one notch for all cards.

I hope visa introduces rhe new notches. It seems like a very simple way to help cards be a bit more accessible.

Has anyone spotted a prepaid variant in the wild? All my prepaid cards are Visa I think…

The idea of a debit card that gets Avios is a good idea thou. But Barclays Premier is a thing so…

So few of the current card designs are interesting. I’d say the only ones that aren’t completely safe are Natwest/RBS/Ulster, Santander, and Bank of Scotland, but I still really wouldn’t call all of these particularly interesting.
My wife received cards today with her married name on, still the same pink/yellow/purple design unfortunately.
I agree, almost all monocolour (or a few shades of the same colour) and just feature a logo, nothing else.
The first two cards I had looked like this, I’d love to see a sleek modern version on a similar theme:

Has anyone seen a purple NatWest debit card in the flesh?
Are they changing them to purple?
They are purple on the “new debit card page”. I included an image further up. They updated them when RBS and NatWest started issuing Visa cards again

Nice, haven’t really noticed one in the wild, would have assumed it was rbs if I have seen one.
We don’t actually know if they are being issued though. It would make to, I can’t find any actual images and no one seems to have spotted it in real life
