Was on Dragons Den I think!
the company is Signet London Luxury Metal Credit & Debit Card Customization
i trust the company and was given a very good service
at the moment you do loose contactless but i use Apple pay for that anyway!
I must confess to be struggling with it all. At first glance it would be great to use my company logo on my card, but if I have to use Apple Pay, which I do for most things then the card stays in my wallet. Of course there is always the odd time when you need to chip and pin but that is maybe a couple of times a month, when I bring it out in all its glory (that is not an euphemism).
So it does seem a tad expensive, when you consider by card issuer sends me out a new card every tow to three years and I would have to replace, for another fee, I guess.
That said it would be nice but I’ll give it a miss at the moment unless the price say gets down to £50 a go.
I wonder why they cant make a DIY version. Pop out the chip, pop it into a new blank metal card with suitable well with bit of epoxy underneath.
I recall years ago a how to, which showed how to remove the chip and antenna from an oyster card, to attach it to a wrist band.
Itd be safer than sending card off to an unknown third party, but could be ‘interesting’ if said card jammed up or damaged a ATM
I remeber this now!
Also, the amount of mustache adorned avatars these days I’m confused as to who is who
It’s taken you all long enough!
Who is going to stick with Christmas for the longest time?
You can’t see my moustache but I do have one.
I’ve gone bearded bauble, I hope that’s acceptable.
Mine has 2 hats
all my bank cards are made of Titanium and glass now, why I want a custom card is beyond me
yeah, my phone, I just don’t see that many cards out there in the flesh anymore
Wondering if anyone has seen updated portrait designs for the Lloyds and BoS AVAs that are no longer on sale, i.e. Premier, and Gold? Perhaps they didn’t bother producing new designs this time…
Does anyone know what type of Visa is issued with the Nationwide Flex plus account?
If you’ve got the first 6 digits of the card, I can look it up
Not necessarily standard. If you give me the first six digits, I can look it up. For instance, their credit card says nothing but when you look it up, it’s platinum.
Simarly Chase doesn’t say anything but is World Elite.
Makes a big difference if you’re hiring a car as VI/WE get you rather a big discount on the rates.
Mine was 475144 which says Classic, but so does my credit card.
Seems to be recorded as Classic. Shame as it has everything else but doesn’t entitle you to the car hire and hotel discounts.
I’ve still got the shed for the RBS Reward CA. What kind of RBS CA is your one? On another note, NatWest still incorrectly displays the green rewards CC rather than matching what the physical card is.
I’ll set you a challenge order one and let us know
