It’s not credit, so no hard search and won’t appear as an account on your credit record. They may well do a soft search (identity & AML).

Current accounts yes, savings accounts not reported so no checks.

All the traditional banks do a hard search whether you apply for an overdraft or not. Starling, Monzo, etc. don’t unless you successfully apply for an overdraft and accept it.

I don’t think so, even the Co-op’s most basic account (Cash Minder) has a standard contactless Visa
It was (and the card is) but I’ve managed to blag one of these so be interesting to see what it looks like in reality.
For the apple version the visa logo and also the early 2000s gradient put me off slightly

Have saw a few of those cards in the flesh, a nice looking card for a legacy bank.

Being in Scotland for uni, I’ve seen a lot of the RBS cards but none of the Natwest cards so have never seen it in person. Based on images, it’s still definitely a card that isn’t for me.
Had a new Nationwide FlexPlus card arrive. Silver card with silver embossed numbers doesn’t make it easy to read in certain light.
On the back the international number is obscured due to the embossing and they still claim it’s RNIB Tried and tested.

Yes, they changed the debit card to the new design…not ugly but not as good as the old one/

Oh, the debit card has changed yeah, but they haven’t changed the credit card yet. I thought you meant Apple Pay was still showing an older design vs the physical card.

Personally I hope they re-do the design before they update the credit card. I remember seeing some mock-ups of other designs but can’t remember if they were official or customer-made, but they were a lot better. I hope the current debit card was just a temporary thing for the switch to Mastercard.

Hope so, really love the old design…
Years ago the FD Gold CC was actually gold coloured. Then it changed to their current black. Always seems strange a gold card being black IMO.
