Cheques in an U16s name

In an U16 child account, will Monzo process a cheque I send to you written to my child’s name?

Relatives still send cheques for birthdays and will always address these to the child.

Ideally Monzo should see I have a child account registered to me and process the cheque so I can transfer to their account.

No, the cheque will need to be in your name, as it’s technically your account.

And with in-app cheque processing, you’ll receive the cheque funds and be able to transfer them to the Child account quicker than ever :ok_hand:
