This is going to cause a bit of a stir… 
In the latest Android teardown they’ve removed the freepost address and now ask you to stick a stamp on the envelope.
I can only think of two things that this could mean:
- They want to save money on this to invest it in cheque imaging.
- They don’t see value in spending money on providing a service to cash cheques.
