appropriate typo
I donāt know why but thereās some words I type the same letters the wrong way round almost every time I type them and this is one of them.
Womp womp.
Hereās the financial ombudsman website in light mode:
And here it is in dark mode:
How do I apply for my £150 please?
There is a message in the app that says āAll payments are being held in a queue. Please donāt make new payments to or from your accounts.ā
How much do you bet part of Chase is inside Google Cloud:
Probably the outages that affected Cloudflare, Google Cloud services, Azure and AWS.
The problem when AWS, Google Cloud, Cloudflare et al go down is they take a huge percentage of the rest of the internet down with them
Kinda why I love how Monzo built a ābackup generatorā if they have outages like this.
Chase cashback is now only offered on groceries, transport and fuel.
So you can imagine my surprise when a TfL contactless transaction showed up in the app as not eligible for cashback.
The Chase webpage Where can I earn cashback? even gives āTransport for London (TfL)ā as an example.
So went on the in-app support chat and asked them to get this fixed. The agent wrote back: ābased on our resources, from April 7, 2025, the MCC code for this transaction is not included in those eligible for cashbackā
Chase has become a joke.
Eek. Was this tapping in via gate or using the ticket machine?
I canāt see why they would but it could be that TfL have changed the MCC code? If so, itās not for Chase to change.
It would be odd though.
I think TFL change the MCC when they charge the full transaction amount.
My holding charge said it wasnāt eligible for cash back, but a day or two later when that turned into the full Ā£5.70 transaction it now shows Ā£0.06 cashback
Oh yep looks like thatās it! Iāve just double checked a few transactions and it looks like when the transaction is pending it says itās not eligible for cashback, but now itās settled I got the cashback.
I should have just asked here first instead of asking Chase support!
I only used Chase because I forgot my iFAST card and they donāt have Apple Pay yet.
Any word on Chase allowing prior customers back yet?
In short no. There was a recent Reddit thread on this topic - Reddit - The heart of the internet
Just checked into the App and had the āIntroducing the Chase Credit Cardā offer available.
Although I failed the eligibility check - so canāt get it anyway.
But, might mean a larger roll out.
Iām not eligible either, but have the option now.
Will you guys want it if you were eligible? Itās just FX free and 0% for 15 months?
Maybe if you use Chase a lot?
Iām guilty of having it but not really using it
