Originally my Chase account was added as unverified to my Starling account, but just choose the option to check the details and it verified successfully, as you mentioned it did for you with FD.
So seems that Confirmation of Payee does indeed work now with Chase, but hasn’t been officially announced.
Sounds like you took my post personally, and a very selective quote at that. If the shoe fits. Funny because I did end my post with “My fault..”
Case and point here. My post called for balance and then here comes this guy….
And this guy with the hyperbole (a guy who muted me long ago the Monzo Coloured Card creamer)
I’m sorry but the skew in this thread is 90% negative and 10% positive (but even then when Chase announced a positive update on their first year metrics, the usual caveat it with negativity). It’s tiresome to read constant complaining tbh. I come here for an interest on fintech and to hopefully talk about the latest updates/features/progress people have made with their personal finances. But hey wishful thinking, negativity sells.
Is this because the payment sits at Pending for a few moments? I’ve noticed they do that even if they’re to an account I’ve paid to a bunch of times. But once they go to Completed, the balance updates. I’ve never had it feel slow or clunky though, feels pretty fresh to me. Are you iOS or Android?
No idea what you’re banging on about mate, I’ve made 60 odd posts on this forum and most of them have been pretty scathing about Monzo I’m a joint account scrub so it checks out.
Don’t think I’ve interacted with you on here before either. Bit weird you’ve gone from trying to police what people post to ad hominem - certainly not a healthy reaction to people airing their legitimate concerns with, of all things, a bank.
No, I didn’t take it personally at all, I was actually defending other posters’ rights to complain when they received shoddy service. You’ll also find me defending posters who complain about Monzo in other threads.
I’m shocked that people react badly when an app-only bank is almost entirely inaccessible because said app went down for the best part of 24hrs. Absolutely unbelievable.
Not going to close my account or whatever, I’m still largely happy with them but it’s quite ridiculous to expect positive comments right now.
Marcus is good for easy access at 1.8% if you want a dependable big bank. Zopa and ford also have higher rates.
It’s really only the cash back chase have now as I find the app pretty crap and that’s before you get to the reliability. I mean once my cash back rinse is over they better add something decent to make me use them.
Staying with this analogy, I composed a little ditty (well, changed the lyrics actually) based on a song from Villa Park
Every week we follow, The bank from the USA, They even conquered UK, With cashback day-by-day, Chase bank, from across the Atlantic, Free FX near and far, But you will hear people moaning, When the app says na na na,
