Interesting that the £1 doesn’t get classed as “spent”.

Not sure if it’d be a good idea or not to have it showing there?

Thanks for sharing though!

Thanks for that!

Thanks for showing us how it works.

I was planning on deposting £17.83 today but I’d rather not be judged for it :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Still a bit moody at the £1 charge when starling is free @ the post office.
Regardless, pretty cool. Gonna have to use it regardless.

No it shouldn’t - it’s a bug we’re aware of and are fixing before the public launch!

Means I now get double the use out of my Starling account. First 0% foreign ATMs, and now free deposits. Monzo can do everything else.

Open a Starling Account, deposit for free, then transfer the money to :mondo:

How many other services allow you to pay in via Paypoint?

I’m wondering how new it would be as a service to the shops.

I know Monese does. A friend uses Monese as his main account and I think I saw Paypoint and Post Office signs on his card so I am sure he can use post office as well.

Edit: just Googled ‘Monese Paypoint’ and found this:

Tide also offers cash deposits at Paypoint

£2k a year maximum deposit I presume is only the beta amount :stuck_out_tongue:

In theory, why should I have to do that to be honest.
I want everything in one bank, one app, simple life.
Not to sound salty, just trying to make my point clear.

No point having the price debate in this thread, it’s about the design. There will be another chance to discuss that when it launches

Its excellent Monzo now have a way to deposit cash. :+1:

However, shutting the other Cash Deposits thread was a bit ‘Starling’ of them - I hope we don’t start seeing other threads stopped because a competitor does a particular feature (much) better. Although its not healthy people repeatedly complaining about the £1 compared to Free elsewhere, the conversation seemed quite civil to me asking all the Qs like why the cost and trying to understand it from Monzos perspective. :-1:

I like that the new limits are included in the transaction details.

Would be nice if something similar could be implemented for the foreign atm fees as its a pain to check this at the moment.
