Card colour affected by sunlight?

Has anyone else noticed that the sun messes up the cards colour? I left my wallet on a table in the sun for a bit and now the part of the card that was sticking out is darker

Try high SPF sun cream next time

I wrap my card in tinfoil, which in addition to keeping the colour fresh, also has the added benefit of protecting my card data from the CIA.
