As the title suggests, I am hoping to pre-approve an online payment as to avoid the delay when needing to go into the app and hit approve payment.
I am trying to pre-order some tech that I need for work, and it will have a lot of eyes on it on release, it’s very important that I can get this without a hitch.
Is there any way I can make sure that Monzo will auto approve it like it sometimes does with web payments over the app, to have better chances of securing my pre-order?

I don’t think that’s possible but I managed to get Oasis tickets on release day with a Monzo card so you’re perhaps overthinking it a bit here.
It doesn’t work like that unfortunately, it would need to carry out any approval deemed necessary at the point the transaction is made. You haven’t made the payment for Monzo to decide if it needs approval yet.
It may be an idea to have alternative payment methods available in case there is an issue with Monzo if it is a particularly important purchase.
Yep, definitely over thinking it. But when it’s for my job, overthinking it is how I do well
