Went to go view a fur baby this evening… might even grab two.
Still very young (4 weeks). Can’t take him for another few weeks.
Name suggestions for the black and white boy?
Could call him Monzo
I would love two of them but I’m not sure it’s financially viable, will see on collection day
Eff-Dee
All gorgeous looking kittens
The one climbing literally did not stop, can tell that one’s gonna be a handful
Many years ago, I bought a working Border Collie pup from a farm. When going to choose, there were 5 or 6 BC pups going absolutely nuts in the pen. One pup was sat in the corner just watching. Chose that one.
Boy, did he play that moment well.
Spent the next 15 years ‘training’ Bob (RIP) - Nuclear explosion on 4 legs.
But fair play, you’ll never train a cat. It’ll train you instead.
When I bought my dog I searched up “cocker spaniel East Sussex”, went to look at one and then bought it first time after seeing it, took it home in the car and stopped along the way back to buy a crate and bed - I didn’t realise you were meant to look at them a few weeks before etc!
Thankfully it turned out well, looking at a golden retriever to give him a friend and going to buy this one properly
I did take a cat carrier with me as the house I went to had quite a few cats, some older by a few weeks.
This one was cute enough, but too young, so over the next few weeks I’ll be buying kitty stuff, food and biscuits.
Here’s something: my two cats with my ex grew up on purina kitten and then moved to purina adult biscuits.
Today found out it only has 17% chicken in it! Their coats are amazing and they are very healthy.
Seen Amazon’s own similar type with 40% chicken, but seemingly had a lot of vegetable stuff in it too.
Anyone feed their cat Amazon own? It’s a fraction of the price compared to purina.
The vets have always praised Purina for them, don’t think cats need the same diet as dogs as far as I know.
I’m happy to consider options though I don’t agree they need to be on fresh, biscuits/dry food is sustainable and affordable - never had a problem with any pet.
Though the extra bit of fresh chicken when cooking never hurt and I eat a lot of chicken.
It’s a cat, it will choose what it eats not you
We tried to move ours to a raw diet before, no chance. However I do think wet food is way better for them. It is more pricey but as they say with pets, if you can’t afford them don’t get them. Cats get most of their water from food as well as being obligate carnivores.
If feeding dried food it should really be as high quality as possible. Lily’s kitchen is alright, I personally wouldn’t touch Amazon’s own brand, or Purina.
One of our cats would only eat dry food and the vet recommended James Wellbeloved biscuits.
We only ever needed to keep her bowl topped up with them, keep her water bowl topped up and she completely self-regulated her intake.
She loved the fish ones (Adult and then Senior).
We raw feed our dog. He has a mix of fish and meat, then I chuck in some vegetables on top. Everyone comments on the quality of his teeth and coat.
The store we go to that specialises in this have raw cat food too.
It’s not as expensive as people think. We buy 10 cases at a time (you can buy individual packets too) and he has his own freezer for it.
They’ve never recommended it in a way to make me choose that food, we started them with Purina kitten then to Adult from day 1.
Just when taking them for checks they were happy Purina was the food we were feeding them.
I’d not change the way I feed my animals, I’ve always kept food and water down for them, biscuits last all day and never had a greedy cat that eats it all in one go.
Just a top up if I ever see it going too low.
Never utilised feeding times, cats eat when they wanna eat and setting feed times wouldn’t fit into my day to day.
Oh my!
Look how cute!
Still a week or two before I can collect the black and white one.
I wanted to call him Shadow but my friend laughed cuz he’s not all black like the other one
Well there is one of the 5 who doesn’t have a home yet
I’d love the two, but not sure it’s right.
Would be good company for each other when I’m at work, but financially, is it sustainable on a single income.
I also live in a one bed apartment, is that enough room for two? Probably answering my own question but as they’re siblings it probably would be right to have the two.
When we got the first cat with my ex, he was fine by himself, but he was also a rescue, caught alone and pretty much stayed alone til we got Boots (other rescue).
Will have to set up a Go Fund for monthly cat food deliveries
What premium accounts?
Man that’s got to be the most spoilt cat in town.
